Princess Party Games: Ideas for Entertainment at Your Princess Party
Posted on: September 1, 2011
Planning a princess party can be a fun, but a little overwhelming. In addition to princess invitations, decorations and princess cake, princess party games are also an important part of the celebration. At first it may seem hard to choose games with a princess theme, but with a little creativity, almost any game can be turned into a princess party game.
One princess game idea is Pin the Crown on the Princess, a twist on a well-known game. This is an easy game to plan for the party. Simply use any picture of a princess and cut out simple crowns. As a surprise for the birthday girl, use her picture for the princess picture. This is an especially fun game for younger guests.
Another entertaining game is a princess memory game. Gather small items that a princess would use, such as a tiara, jewelry, hair brush and a hand mirror. Place the items on a tray. The guests only have one minute or less to look at the items on the tray before the tray is removed from the room. The guests must write down everything they remember that was on the tray. This game is appropriate for school-aged guests.
Finally, a princess dress-up game is fun for guests of any age. Provide dress-up clothes (even adult women’s dresses work), high heel shoes, jewelry and hair accessories. Everyone can dress up like a princess. As a surprise finish to the game, have each guest model their ensemble. For a real treat, provide a “red carpet” (red towel or red blanket) for the princess modeling.
A lot of hard work goes into planning the perfect princess party. Choosing the right princess games will make the party exciting and memorable. Remember, any game can be modified to fit your princess theme, so be creative and enjoy the party.
